Itembazaar.com Inc was founded in 2000 by then-college student Alex Tenenbaum. An undergraduate at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, Alex quickly realized an opportunity when his local college bookstore offered him a meager 15% return on his very expensive textbooks. The idea was born and, just like many start-ups, Alex’s basement became Itembazaar's headquarters. For the next eight years, Itembazaar focused on selling new and used books, carrying over 5,000 unique titles at its highest point.
When Amazon introduced its Kindle E-Reader in 2007, the company quickly responded. The business model was changed, switching from books to video games and media, and the company continued its long path to success.
As the company grew, so did its inventory. A company that once sold just books now offers a diverse selection of consumer electronics, Gaming Consoles, accessories and games from multiple platforms, GPUs, Audio Visual Equipment and Accessories, and so much more.
Itembazaar continues to use its substantial industry knowledge to stock its warehouse with high-quality and high-demand inventory. Itembazaar has grown from a one-person operation to having a staff of several dozen valued associates. Each employee brings highly-skilled knowledge to the team, with diverse backgrounds in business, engineering, marketing, the performing arts and computer programming.
